Primary bath design, Marble countertop

above is kitchen nook/ small office in between kitchen and pantry.

Above is a guest bathroom that is perfectly neutral and so not boring.

Above picture is the pool and patio with sun shelf.

We added stone next to the path because this house was built on a hill. The wind would have blown mulch right into the pool. We created this path to the pool because we wanted some grass between the covered porch and kitchen area for room for a tent when we would have a large party.

Looking back at the house at night, one can see how important a good lighting plan is.

BUCKINGHAM, PA

Office renovation in a pool house, exterior pool house and addition or trellice with vine and addition of meditative path

Above is an outdated office in a pool house on a property in Buckingham Pa.

Below, you can see that I added new floors, new lighting, and a fresh coat of paint. There were 2 rooms and a kitchenette in this pool house. I made a sitting room and an office which also doubled as a meditation studio at times.

This space is an office inside the home off of the living room.

This is the outside of the pool house- I added a trellis and planted honey suckle vine to grow up the trellis. I also added a meditative walking path from the front yard’s outdoor parking area to the pool house with lighting and river rock

The path was designed to be meditative in nature and was approximately two hundred feet long. The river rock and stone was chosen because it was suitable for the wooded environment.

Minimal design/decor to allow nature to shine through

ST. CHARLES , IL

Below: Eat in Kitchen dining, back wall painted black and new lighting added to showcase windows and allow nature to “pop”

Below is a picture of St. Charles exterior home before we painted and added landscaping. Prior to our renovation, the house was a salmon pink.

We painted the Hardie siding a color match to our trim and added a semi- circle landscape project with arborvitae and pine trees as well as bushes and multiple flowers that bloom throughout the season.

Below is a partial kitchen renovation in St. Charles. The kitchen was outdated. I removed the bar top off of one of the islands and changed the countertops to a beautiful quartz. I brought the countertop up the walls, added modern lighting and painted the walls dark to compliment the wood trim and bring the outside view inside.

Landcaping for St. Charles

Below is a small powder room renovation

This powder room if right off of the kitchen. It has not been updated for about 18 years. It did not take much to improve this space dramatically- just a new updated vanity, lighting, a smart wallpaper design and some a new paint color to give this room a quick yet modern and dramatic refresh.

NEW PROJECTS

And we are off and running with a new project, a new custom home. We have carefully designed a 5000sf home (including the basement). Below is a design drawing of the front elevation and first floor

We designed a modern Tudor inspired home with two primary suites- one on the main floor, and one on the second. There is a double sided fireplace in the living room and each primary will also have its own fireplace. There is one guest bedroom on the second floor.

The Tudor style will be exemplified in arched doorways as well other design elements such as wood beams, stone features with built ins as well roof selection, and curves to the exterior.

We truly designed this space to meet how we live and kept resale value in mind. An example of this is that we opted to create an semi-open Loft space instead of a second guest bedroom on the second floor. This loft overlooks the kitchen . The opening is a large triangular shape that we can either enclose with a custom piece of large glass or leave open with a railing for safety. The Loft could easily be converted into a third bedroom with the addition of a door and a small closet- or with the purchase of a wardrobe unit. There is an additional living space in the basement.

One of the design elements that I look forward to seeing come to life is the creation of a custom bookcase that will conceal the presence of the entire wing of the first floor primary suite. That should be fun!

We also combined a scullery kitchen with the pantry. This provides us the ability to have more cabinetry to hide away appliances we do not use often, a place for a second refrigerator just steps from the kitchen, as well as plenty of shelves to store canned goods.
